Wine for Beginners
$40 per person
A wonderful overview of wine basics, in a comfortable and unassuming atmosphere. This program is perfect for those who are new to wine, as well as wine aficionados who want to to learn a bit more. Upon arrival, each guest receives a glass of sparkling wine and a packet of information including tasting notes and maps, which will supplement the verbal presentation and tasting given by our instructor. Typically we sample 6-8 wines. Our atmosphere is always friendly and informal, and it encourages both questions and discussion throughout. A Tequila Affair
$35 per person
Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, this lively tequila tasting seminar will cover the basics of production, styles and food pairings. We’ll sip our way through four different varieties of Tequila Corrido, including the coveted single barrel bottling, while enjoying perfectly paired small bites. Yuri Kato of Tequila Corrido will lead the discussion.

Wine Discovery Workshop

Though many of us love wine, it can still be difficult describing what we like to our local wine store attendant or restaurant server. Are you the type of wine drinker who has an opinion about a wine when they taste it, but can’t seem to make this opinion apply to future bottle purchases? It’s time to understand your wine preferences profile and put it to use! Join A Bottled Affair for this workshop-style tasting of 8 wines of varied styles from around the world to discover your wine preferences profile. The goal here is to not only find out what you like, but perhaps even more importantly what you don’t like. You’ll learn the basics of different grape varieties, as well as how climate and production impact a grape. Through this tasting workshop you’ll gain the tools and terminology necessary to guide yourself to perfect wine selections every time!

Mother’s Day Wine Tasting

We all know what mom really wants for Mother’s Day, so why not give it to her? A sip of something sparkling, a taste of something pink, a splash or two of a summery white … join us for this casual Mother’s Day wine tasting, perfect as a pre-dinner surprise or an outing all of it’s own. (Just don’t expect mom to cook dinner after!) We’ll sip our way through five gorgeous wines, each selected with mom in mind. Assorted appetizers included.

A Taste of Italy

Is it looking like your plan for renting an Italian villa this summer may not quite pan out? No worries, our prospects aren’t looking all that grand either. The next best thing just may be our upcoming Italian wines class, A Taste of Italy. Led by sommelier and City Spirit’s store manager Amy Martin, we’ll sip our way through 5 to 6 different regions of Italy, from Piedmont to Sicily. Small bite pairings will showcase the food friendliness of these gorgeous wines.
